Seville and Andalusia packing list for families

Southern Spain swings from mild winters to some of Europe's hottest summers, so packing depends a lot on when you go. This list covers Seville, Granada, and Córdoba with kids, from palace days to late flamenco nights.

Kristina's notes on Seville & Andalusia

  1. Book Alhambra tickets as soon as your dates are set. They sell out weeks ahead, and the tickets are issued in each visitor's name, so bring ID for everyone who needs it.
  2. Summer in Seville is seriously hot. If you go June through August, sightsee early, rest through the afternoon like the locals do, and head back out after 7.
  3. Cathedrals and the Alcázar have lots of stone floors and stairs. Comfortable shoes and a light layer for cool interiors matter more than a fancy outfit.
