Menorca packing list for families

Menorca's coves are some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean, but many are a walk from the car with no shade or snack bar. Here is what we pack to make long cove days easy with kids.

Kristina's notes on Menorca

  1. Many of Menorca's prettiest coves are reached by a walk along the Camí de Cavalls path, so I bring a carrier for little ones and pack light beach bags we can sling over a shoulder.
  2. When the north wind blows, head for the sheltered coves on the south coast. Checking the wind each morning is the best planning tip I can give for this island.
  3. Some coves have no shade or snack bar at all. Pack a beach umbrella or tent, more water than you think, and lunch for the day.
