Verbier ski trip packing list for families

Verbier mixes big-mountain skiing with a sunny, social village, and the right gear keeps everyone comfortable from first chair to dinner. This list covers the Swiss Alps extras that matter for a family week.

Kristina's notes on Verbier Ski

  1. Verbier is known for steep, expert terrain, but it works for families too. I base beginners near the gentler slopes and ski school meeting points rather than chasing the famous off-piste.
  2. The village sits on a sunny, south-facing slope, which is lovely at lunch and hard on noses. Pack high-SPF sunscreen and lip balm in every ski jacket pocket.
  3. Most families fly into Geneva and drive or take the train to Le Châble, then ride the gondola up. Keep luggage manageable and pack a small bag with ski clothes so no one waits on bags to get on the snow.
