Napa and Sonoma packing list for families

Wine country with kids is more relaxed than people expect, with pools, picnics, farms, and family-friendly wineries. Packing for big temperature swings is the key.

Kristina's notes on Napa & Sonoma

  1. Many tasting rooms are adults only, but plenty welcome kids. Ask before you book so no one is turned away at the door.
  2. Summer days get hot, then evenings cool off fast. Pack a sweater for everyone, even in July.
  3. Plan one tasting a day and a pool afternoon. Kids do so much better with a slower rhythm here.
