Lech and Zürs ski trip packing list for families

Lech and Zürs are known for deep snow and calm, uncrowded slopes, which means cold days and lots of wet gear. This list covers the extras that keep a family warm and dry in the Arlberg.

Kristina's notes on Lech & Zürs Ski

  1. Lech limits the number of daily lift tickets in peak periods to keep the slopes uncrowded. If you're not buying passes through your hotel, buy them ahead online for holiday weeks.
  2. Lech and Zürs are linked with St. Anton, so strong skiers have huge terrain to explore. With young kids, I stay close to the Lech ski school and the gentle slopes right by the village.
  3. These villages get a lot of snow and can feel very wintry. I pack an extra warm layer for each child and a spare pair of gloves, since wet gloves end ski days early.
