Jamaica packing list for families

Jamaica gives families easy all-inclusive days plus real adventure, from waterfall climbs to river rafting. Here is what our family packs to enjoy both.

Kristina's notes on Jamaica

  1. Transfers from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios or Negril can take well over an hour on busy, winding roads. Keep snacks, water, and motion-sickness bands in your carry-on.
  2. Climbing Dunn's River Falls is a highlight for kids, but it is slippery. Water shoes with real grip make it much safer and more fun.
  3. Jamaica restricts wearing camouflage, so leave camo clothing at home, including kids' shorts and hats.
