Ibiza packing list for families

Ibiza has a calm, family-friendly side with clear coves, a walled old town, and long lunches by the sea. Packing for small rocky beaches and strong summer sun makes those days easy.

Kristina's notes on Ibiza with Kids

  1. Families love the north and east of the island. Areas around Santa Eulària and Portinatx have calm coves and easy beaches, and they feel worlds away from the club scene in Sant Antoni and Playa d'en Bossa.
  2. Many of the prettiest coves are small and rocky, with pebbles at the waterline. I pack water shoes for everyone and a beach tent or umbrella, since shade disappears by midday in July and August.
  3. Dinner starts late here, often 8:30 or later. We do a big lunch at a beach restaurant, a long afternoon rest, then an early dinner as soon as kitchens open, before the crowds.
