Grand Cayman packing list for families

Grand Cayman is one of the easiest Caribbean islands for families, with calm beaches and Stingray City close by. Here is what our family packs to make the most of the water.

Kristina's notes on Grand Cayman

  1. Stingray City is a sandbar where kids can stand in shallow water, but the depth depends on height and tides. A snorkel vest or a fitted life jacket gives smaller kids confidence.
  2. Seven Mile Beach is usually calm, which makes it one of the easiest family beaches in the Caribbean. I still pack water shoes for the rockier snorkel spots on the island's north and east sides.
  3. Grand Cayman is polished and on the pricier side for everyday items. Bring the kids' sunscreen, swim diapers, and favorite snacks from home.
