Taiwan packing list for families
Taiwan is easy and delicious with kids, but the humidity and sudden showers shape what you wear. A light, quick-dry wardrobe and a few small extras make the long city days easier.

Kristina's notes on Taiwan
- Load an EasyCard for each person on day one. It works on the MRT, buses, and at convenience stores, so kids can tap through the gates themselves.
- Rain can show up any month, and summer is very humid. I pack quick-dry clothes and a compact umbrella for each of us instead of heavy rain gear.
- Parts of Taroko Gorge have been closed since the 2024 earthquake. Check what is open before you plan a day trip from Hualien.
