Morocco packing list for families

Morocco asks you to pack for hot souks, cool mountain villages, and cold desert nights in a single trip. This list keeps the whole family comfortable and dressed respectfully along the way.

Kristina's notes on Marrakech & Morocco

  1. The medina lanes are narrow, busy, and uneven, so a stroller is more trouble than help. I bring a carrier for little ones and keep older kids close in the souks.
  2. Desert nights get cold even after a hot day, especially in winter. Pack a real warm layer for the Sahara camp, not just a sweatshirt.
  3. Modest clothing makes everyone more comfortable here. I pack light linen pants and a scarf for each of us, which also helps with sun and dust.
