Langkawi packing list for families

Langkawi pairs rainforest and beach, so your bags need to handle boats, monkeys, and afternoon storms. Here is the simple list I use for families heading to this Malaysian island.

Kristina's notes on Malaysia: Langkawi

  1. The cable car and Sky Bridge can pause in high wind or storms. I go first thing in the morning, when it is clearer and cooler and the lines are shorter.
  2. Macaques around the mangroves and some beaches are bold. Keep snacks zipped away and let kids watch from the boat.
  3. Resort wear is fine at your hotel, but cover up a bit more for Kuah town, markets, and any mosque visit. A light cover-up in the day bag handles it.
